ACCEL Schools’ Academy of Arts & Technology in Marion, Ohio seeks an Intervention Specialist to support students with IEPs within an inclusive setting. You will collaborate with teachers to interpret needs, design effective interventions, and monitor progress toward goals.

The role emphasizes data-driven planning, family engagement, and adherence to state standards, with opportunities to participate in school events and non-instructional activities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in full room inclusion or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room model.
• Comfort with growth-focused coaching based on frequent observations and progress monitoring.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Support educational and behavioral goals for all students, focusing on IEPs.
• Collaborate with teachers to interpret student abilities and modify curricula.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction and functional behavior assessments.
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans; facilitate IEP meetings.
• Communicate regularly with families about student growth and progress.
• Participate in planning non-instructional activities and events.
