Qualifications

• Current state license required.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in full inclusion or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room.
• Comfort in a growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Word and Outlook.
• Excellent organization and time management.
• Ability to pass FBI/BCI background checks.
• Experience in multicultural settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with classroom teachers, interpreting abilities and disabilities, assisting in intervention strategies and curriculum modifications.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments.
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write IEP goals and objectives.
• Relentlessly work to meet goals for student achievement and culture.
• Utilize research-based practices in daily planning and instruction.
• Integrate culturally responsive teaching daily with students, families, and colleagues.
• Serve as advisor for a designated set of students.
• Communicate regularly with families about academic and social-emotional growth.
• Participate in planning and implementation of non-instructional activities.
