Mount Auburn Preparatory Academy in Cincinnati, Ohio is seeking a dedicated Intervention Specialist to support students’ academics and behavioral goals within an inclusive learning environment.

You will collaborate with teachers to implement IEPs, conduct assessments, and lead meetings, driving student achievement and social-emotional growth.

This full-time role offers a competitive salary in the $47,500–$55,000 range with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist license or Ohio Unlimited Substitute License, or a Bachelor's degree in Education with eligibility to pursue licensure.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience with full room inclusion or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room model.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook; excellent organization and time management.
• Ability to pass FBI/BCI background checks.
• Experience in a multicultural setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with classroom teachers to interpret abilities and disabilities; modify curricula and assist with regular class assignments.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments.
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write IEP goals/objectives.
• Meet goals related to student achievement and culture; monitor progress.
• Use research-based practices in planning and instruction.
• Integrate culturally responsive teaching into daily lessons.
• Serve as advisor for a designated group of students.
• Communicate regularly with families about student growth.
• Plan and participate in non-instructional activities (social events, field trips).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

Ohio Intervention Specialist license / Unlimited Substitute License or Bachelor's in Education
