Job summary

ACCEL Schools LLC seeks an Intervention Specialist for Lincoln Park Academy in Cleveland, OH to support students with IEP goals and behavioral plans. The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers to adapt instruction and improve outcomes.

You will conduct assessments, participate in IEPs, and monitor progress while engaging families and applying best practices in an inclusive, culturally responsive setting.

Qualifications

• Current state license.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in full inclusion or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room model.
• Growth‑focused coaching with frequent observations and progress monitoring.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Word and Outlook (Microsoft Office).
• Strong organization and time management.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to pass FBI/BCI background checks.
• Experience in a multi-cultural setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with classroom teachers, interpreting abilities and disabilities to assist interventions.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments.
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP Meetings and write IEP goals and objectives.
• Meet goals related to student achievement and culture.
• Utilize research-based best practices in daily planning and instruction.
• Integrate culturally responsive teaching into daily lessons.
• Serve as advisor for a designated set of students.
• Communicate regularly with families about academic and social-emotional growth.
• Participate in planning and implementing non-instructional activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
