ACCEL Schools is seeking a passionate Behavior Intervention Specialist for Lincoln Park Academy in Cleveland, OH. The role focuses on creating rigorous, nurturing environments while supporting at‑risk students with behavior, attendance, and social-emotional development.

You will develop and implement behavior models, participate in IEP teams, and work with staff to implement positive interventions. A degree in a related field is preferred, with three years’ relevant experience and a valid

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in education, social work, health or related field.
• Intervention Specialist license preferred.
• Minimum of three years’ experience with at‑risk or behaviorally challenged children.
• Proven ability to build trust with students, families and colleagues.
• Ability to pass federal, state and local background checks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Understand behavioral needs across age groups and respond with appropriate interventions.
• Provide knowledge of FBA, function-based interventions and BIPs.
• Meet with students to design individualized behavior plans.
• Serve on IEP teams and coordinate with staff, administrators and parents.
• Collaborate on crisis intervention, attendance issues, and student development.
