Job summary

ACCEL Schools in Cleveland, Ohio invites applications for a Behavior Intervention Specialist at Lincoln Park Academy. You will support at-risk students, implement FBA/BIP, and collaborate with IEP teams to promote positive student outcomes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in education or related field, plus an Intervention Specialist license preferred, and a minimum of three years’ experience in diverse settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, health, or related field preferred.
• Intervention Specialist license preferred.
• At least 3 years’ experience with at‑risk or behaviorally challenged youth.
• Ability to pass background checks and work with diverse communities.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate understanding and respectful attitude toward behavioral needs of students.
• Provide knowledge of FBA, function-based interventions, and BIP.
• Develop individualized behavior tracking and intervention programs.
• Serve on IEP Teams and build relationships with students and families.
• Collaborate with staff on crisis intervention, learning and collaboration issues.
• Consult with administrators, teachers, and parents on behavior modification.
• Monitor attendance and develop Absence Intervention Plans.
• Promote school culture through daily practices and collaboration.
• Maintain timely records and files per policies.
• Participate in events, trainings, duties as needed.
