Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a Georgia PSC-approved college in the relevant field.
• Valid PSC-approved teaching certificate in the appropriate field.
• Special education teachers must hold applicable certification for service.
• Valid Georgia PSC-approved endorsements required.
• CTAE: pass GACE Education Ethics; minimum two years of experience in industry.

Responsibilities

• Teaches grade-relevant curriculum and standards.
• Develops lesson plans for in-person and virtual learning with documentation.
• Communicates with district personnel, students, and parents via phone, email, or video.
• Creates a conducive classroom environment for student growth.
• Utilizes internet and web-based tools for instruction and collaboration.
• Assesses, documents, and reports progress, attendance, and performance.
• Manages student behavior per code of conduct.
• Participates in parent conferences and collaborative meetings.
• Performs duties such as materials ordering and trainings.
• Directs paraprofessional support as needed.
• Maintains regular attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
