Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a GA PSC-approved college or university is required.
• Valid Georgia PSC-approved teaching certificate is required.
• Special Education certifications and alignment with assignment requirements.
• Endorsements: ESOL, Gifted, and CTAE where applicable.
• Must pass the GACE Education Ethics Assessment.
• Minimum two years of verifiable industrial work experience.

Responsibilities

• Teaches grade-relevant, subject matter-specific, and mandated curriculum.
• Delivers instructional plans through in-person and virtual learning.
• Communicates with district personnel, students, and parents via phone, email, or video.
• Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and student development.
• Assesses and reports on student progress and attendance.
• Manages student behavior per code of conduct and handbook.
• Directs paraprofessionals and coordinates with staff as needed.
• Maintains regular attendance and participates in required meetings.
