Job summary

Education for Change is seeking dynamic teachers to engage students, families, and the learning community to ensure high achievement. You will provide instructional leadership in a collaborative PLC and work with partners to serve the whole child in an urban elementary school with many English learners and low-income families.

Ideal candidates will have a California credential or path to one, experience with PBIS and English learners, and a growth mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and California credential or ability to obtain one.
• CLAD/BCLAD or English Language Learner authorization preferred.
• Must possess a growth mindset and use feedback to refine practice.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective daily and long-term instructional plans aligned with California standards.
• Assess students regularly and analyze results to inform instruction.
• Foster a high-expectation classroom culture and supportive learning environment.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learners' needs in an urban setting.
• Engage families and community partners to support student success.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development.
