Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a Georgia PSC-approved college or university in the relevant educational field is required.
• Valid PSC-approved teaching certificate is required.
• GACE Education Ethics Assessment must be passed.

Responsibilities

• Teaches grade-relevant, subject matter-specific, and mandated curriculum.
• Delivers in-person and virtual lessons with prepared plans.
• Communicates with students, parents, and district personnel.
• Creates a conducive learning environment respecting student development.
• Uses technology to deliver instruction and track progress.
• Maintains attendance records and prepares progress reports.
• Manages student behavior per school policies.
• Collaborates with colleagues and participates in meetings and professional development.
• Directs paraprofessional staff as needed.
• Ensures compliance with IEPs and supports students with disabilities as required.

Education

Bachelor's degree in state/educational field (Georgia PSC-approved)

Valid Georgia PSC teaching certificate
