Job summary

Blue Water Thinking is seeking an Interoperability Project Manager to coordinate healthcare interface work for the VA FEHRM program across multiple centers. You will collaborate with Biomedical Engineering, clinical teams, Oracle Health, vendors, and program offices.

The role requires recent experience with healthcare interfaces or HTM operations and strong coordination and communication skills. Travel ~1 week every 2 months; compensation aligns with federal program standards.

Qualifications

• Recent, practical experience with healthcare interfaces, medical device integration, hospital HTM operations, or healthcare systems implementation.
• Ability to coordinate projects or complex work across technical, clinical, vendor, and leadership stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to inform leadership and teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate interface planning, schedules, dependencies, testing, and deployment milestones across multiple VA sites and teams.
• Participate actively in interface discussions with Oracle Health, facility teams, and technical specialists; clarify requirements and next steps.
• Document impact of issues and elevate concerns to leadership in a timely manner.
• Track decisions, risks, actions, and owners through resolution across facilities.
• Translate interface discussions into meeting docs, status reports, and executive summaries.
• Coordinate follow-up among Biomedical Engineering, clinical staff, technical teams, vendors, and program stakeholders.
• Support interface work throughout planning, testing, deployment, and post-deployment activities.
• Adhere to VHA processes, federal requirements, and healthcare technology practices.
