Job summary

Red Clover in New York is seeking a Shipping Assistant to support the secure intake, handling, and movement of high-value string instruments throughout the auction and sales lifecycle.

You will coordinate domestic and international shipping, maintain accurate property records, and assist with vault organization under the Logistics Manager, requiring organization, reliability, and precision.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, inventory management, art handling or related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize, multi-task, and work under pressure.
• Proficiency with Mac systems, Google Workspace and database or inventory systems.
• Must be able to lift 20-40 lbs.
• Experience with or understanding of stringed instruments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unpack, and log incoming instruments and property, creating accurate intake and shipment records.
• Inspect items for shipping damage and escalate concerns as needed.
• Create and maintain property records, including labeling, documentation, and database entry.
• Prepare instruments and related materials for photography, storage, vetting, and auction display.
• Coordinate domestic and international shipping, including packing, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and manage import/export documentation.
• Track outbound shipments and maintain shipment records.
• Support auction preparation, vault and gallery organization.
