Job summary

Chevrolet of Milford in Milford, CT seeks an Internal Service Advisor to move used vehicles, trade-ins, and dealership-owned cars through the service process and onto the sales lot.

This internal, non-customer-facing role partners with Service, Parts, Sales and Used Cars to ensure inspections, repairs, and reconditioning are completed quickly, accurately, and documented in the DMS. Saturday availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Write internal service repair orders for used cars and create estimates.
• Dispatch work into the shop for technicians or sublet repairs when needed.
• Maintain XTIME/ASR/DMS estimates for approval by the Used Car Manager.
• Coordinate with sales and service to estimate repair/maintenance costs.
• Open and close repair orders and inspect vehicles with technicians.

Responsibilities

• Inspect repair quality and ensure all work is completed.
• Keep Service Manager informed of problems and progress.
• Manage internal vehicles from start to finish.
• Take photos and videos of repaired vehicles for records.
• Perform clerical duties as needed.

Job description

Chevrolet of Milford, CT seeks an Internal Service Advisor to move used vehicles, trade-ins, and dealership-owned cars through the service process and onto the sales lot.

This internal, non-customer-facing role partners with Service, Parts, Sales and Used Cars to ensure inspections, repairs, and reconditioning are completed quickly, accurately, and documented in the DMS. Saturday availability may be required.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for writing internal service repair orders for used cars, creating estimates, dispatching this type of work into the shop for the technician to work on, and/or sublet repairs when necessary
• Maintains and creates XTIME/ASR/ DMS Reynolds & Reynolds estimates for the Used Car Manager to approve work to be completed on the stock units
• Responsible for writing warranty PDI repair orders for new stock units arriving from the factory
• Coordinate with sales managers and service manager accurate estimates of repair/maintenance costs
• Adherence to dealership policy on customer vehicle care and operation
• Follow up on each repair and keep sales managers and service manager informed of progress
• Inspect repair quality and ensure that all work is complete
• Keep Service Manager informed of all problems and potential problems
• Open and close repair order
