Job summary

Chevrolet of Milford, CT seeks an Internal Service Advisor to move used vehicles trade-ins and dealership-owned cars through the service process and onto the sales lot. This internal, non-customer-facing role partners with Service, Parts, Sales and Used Cars to ensure inspections, repairs, and reconditioning are completed quickly and documented in the DMS.

Qualifications

• Experience writing internal service repair orders and estimates.
• Familiarity with DMS Reynolds & Reynolds and shop workflow.
• Ability to coordinate with Service, Parts, Sales and Used Cars.
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Write internal service repair orders for used cars and new stock units.
• Create estimates and dispatch work to technicians or sublet repairs as needed.
• Maintain and create estimates in XTIME/ASR/DMS Reynolds & Reynolds for approval.
• Coordinate with sales and service managers on repair/maintenance costs.
• Open and close repair orders and ensure quality of repairs.

This internal, non-customer-facing role partners with Service, Parts, Sales and Used Cars to ensure inspections, repairs, and reconditioning are completed quickly, accurately, and documented in the DMS. Saturday availability may be required.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for writing internal service repair orders for used cars, creating estimates,dispatching this type of work into the shop for the technician to work on, and/or sublet repairs when necessary
• Maintains and creates XTIME/ASR/ DMS Reynolds & Reynolds estimates for the Used Car Manager to approve work to be completed on the stock units
• Responsible for writing warranty PDI repair orders for new stock units arriving from the factory
• Coordinate with sales managers and service manageraccurate estimates of repair/maintenance costs
• Adherence to dealership policy on customer vehicle care and operation
• Follow up on each repair and keepsales managers and service managerinformed of progress
• Inspect repair quality and ensure that all work is complete
• Keep Service Manager informed of all problems and potential problems
• Open and close repair order
• create proper estimates
• physically inspect vehicleswith the techs
• Manage workflow
• create pictures and videos repaired
• knowledge of used and new vehicle process
• Monitoring the location of all inventories throughout several locations
• Knowledge of Service Advisor
• Preform clerical duties as needed
• Manage internal vehicles from beginning to end
