Job summary

PetVet Care Centers’ Veterinary Referral Associates in Gaithersburg, MD is seeking an Internal Medicine Veterinary Receptionist (Care Coordinator). This role combines reception, scheduling, and client services to support a high-performing veterinary hospital that provides AAHA‑accredited specialty care and 24/7 emergency services.

The position requires a veterinary hospital background, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in a veterinary hospital required.
• Two years of fast-paced customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service in person, by phone, and in high-stress situations.
• Manage lobby flow, schedule appointments, and address concerns.
• Assist with medication pickups and patient/client inquiries.
• Input and manage data in practice management software, including billing.
• Support retail sales and maintain records.
• Reconcile cash drawer and complete end-of-day duties.
