Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking an Internal Medicine Pharmacist Specialist to lead the inpatient IM service, optimize drug therapy, and educate residents and students. You will participate in cost‑saving initiatives and department projects while maintaining high standards of patient safety.

Qualifications

• ASHP‑accredited PGY1 and PGY2 residency programs
• 5 years progressive clinical practice in internal medicine
• PharmD or BSc in Pharmacy from ACPE‑accredited school
• English language proficiency (reading, writing, speaking)

Responsibilities

• Round on the inpatient Internal Medicine service and monitor/modify therapies to optimize outcomes
• Teach and mentor pharmacy residents and students
• Lead departmental initiatives, practice development, and pharmacoeconomic projects
• Support cost‑savings initiatives and formulary management
• Coordinate P&T activities and interprofessional education
• Ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance across duties
