Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is seeking an experienced Acute Care Pharmacist specializing in Internal Medicine. You will round on the inpatient IM service, optimize therapy, and lead department initiatives focused on quality and patient safety.

The role includes educating pharmacy staff, providers, and trainees; mentoring residents and students; and participating in cost-effective formulary decisions. A strong clinical background and Texas licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Education and training from ASHP-accredited residency programs (PGY1 and PGY2) required.
• PGY1 with 5+ years, or 8+ years progressive clinical practice in specialty.
• PharmD or ACPE-accredited degree required, Texas licensure within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Round on inpatient Internal Medicine service and monitor therapy.
• Lead department initiatives, quality improvement, and teaching.
• Mentor pharmacy residents and students; participate in P&T committee activities.
• Manage formulary processes and cost-savings initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory and infection control standards.
