Job summary

Trane Technologies in La Crosse, Wisconsin invites a motivated student to join as an engineering design intern. You will produce CAD designs and document parts using PLM systems, following standard drafting practices under engineering guidance.

We require enrollment in a mechanical/architectural/electrical/electronic design associate degree program, with basic CAD knowledge and teamwork. Hours are flexible for school schedules, with on-site work emphasized.

Qualifications

• Must be a current, full-time student enrolled in a mechanical, architectural, electrical, or electronic design associate's degree program.
• Understanding basic principles of designing equipment, drafting and computer aided design.
• Working knowledge of computer aided graphic system.

Responsibilities

• Produces designs and documentation utilizing computer design and product life cycle management systems.
• Documentation of parts and bills of materials
• Understands and adheres to design and drafting standard practices.
• Works from oral or written engineering instructions, procedures, schematics, drawings and sketches.
• Responsible for completion of assignments, detects and corrects own errors.
• Maintains competency level of computer aided graphic system and other applications through company provided training and materials.
