Job summary

Trane Technologies in La Crosse, Wisconsin is seeking an onsite HVAC Product Development Technician Intern to support New Product Development, sustainability and quality improvement projects in our Engineering Test Laboratory. This temporary, hourly internship pays $22 per hour and is overtime eligible.

Hours are flexible to fit school schedules, with 15-20 hours weekly during the school year and up to 40 hours weekly in summer.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Associate Degree program in HVAC or 2-year HVAC program.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; basic Visual Basic programming is a plus.
• EPA Type Universal Certification or willingness to become certified.

Responsibilities

• Operate HVAC equipment and control test facilities to collect data.
• Assist with installation, modification, and build of developmental HVAC equipment.
• Support development activities and testing per engineering and agency requirements.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC technologies and equipment with guidance.
• Maintain a safe work area and comply with company policies.
