Job summary

Midland States Bank in St. Louis, MO, seeks an Intern – Financial Services Cloud Admin - Salesforce to assist the Salesforce team with support, development, testing, and project work, gaining exposure to how Salesforce supports Midland’s business lines.

The internship runs Summer 2027 (mid-May to early August). Enrolled in IT/CS/Data Analytics with coursework in tech fields; Salesforce knowledge is a plus. Local residency and 40-hour work week required.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a degree program with courses in IT, CS, data analytics, MIS, or related tech field.
  • Salesforce knowledge or experience is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and support Financial Services Cloud functionality across Midland’s lines of business.
  • Assist with Salesforce support queue and resolve user requests.
  • Support mappings and data flows between Salesforce and the ETL team.
  • Assist with Salesforce enhancements, development, and defect resolution.
  • Participate in development, testing, and team meetings to learn the full lifecycle.
  • Shadow team members to learn platform areas and complete assigned project work.

Job description

At Midland States Bank, base salary is one component of our Total Rewards program. Exact compensation is determined by factors such as (but not limited to) education, skills, internal equity, and experience. This position offers additional compensation in the form of short-term incentives (i.e. bonus and/or commission) and may include long-term incentives (i.e. stock awards). Position Summary

The Financial Services Cloud Admin - Salesforce Intern will provide assistance to the Salesforce team with recurring support, development, testing, and project-based work while gaining exposure to how Salesforce supports Midland’s lines of business and connects with other applications and data flows.

Primary Accountabilities
  • Learn and support Financial Services Cloud (FSC) functionality and how Salesforce is used across Midland’s lines of business.
  • Assist with the Salesforce support queue and help research and resolve user requests and issues.
  • Support mappings and data flows between Salesforce and the ETL team.
  • Assist with smaller Salesforce enhancements, development work, and defect resolution.
  • Participate in development, testing, and team meetings to gain exposure to the full application lifecycle.
  • Shadow Salesforce team members to learn different areas of the platform, integrations, support, and development.
  • Complete assigned project work with guidance from a designated coach.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
Position Qualifications Education/Experience
  • The internship will run for Summer of 2027 beginning mid-May and ending early August.
  • Able to work a 40-hour work week, Monday-Friday, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
  • Must reside local to the St. Louis, MO area and report to the St. Louis office.
  • Enrolled in a degree program with courses of study including Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, or a related technology field at a college or university with at least 2 years completed.
  • Coursework or experience in technology and/or data-related subjects.
  • Salesforce knowledge or experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Works well in team environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Teams.
  • Demonstrates ability to learn and use new software and programs.
