Job summary

Watco is seeking an Intermodal Supply Chain Coordinator in Lowell, AR to manage day-to-day freight and optimize shipments, balancing customer needs with carrier availability. The role focuses on building relationships with carriers and customers, securing capacity, and supporting branch growth.

The position requires experience in transportation or supply chain operations and proficiency with MS Office tools.

Qualifications

• Transportation or supply chain related experience preferred.
• Use organization, communication, conflict resolution, and time management skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data entry.
• Ability to work with others and be a positive influence on coworkers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• RMIS skills and TMS skills recommended.

Responsibilities

• Broker transportation shipments and secure carrier capacity.
• Trace and track customer shipments via web portals.
• Provide customer support to meet needs and address issues.
• Conduct spot pricing and rate negotiations to meet margin requirements and profitability.
• Meet all customer compliance requirements including service levels and communication timelines.
• Book loads with Registry Monitoring Insurance Services (RMIS) compliance and other duties as assigned.
