The Supply Chain Coordinator (SCC) plays a crucial role in the overall day-to-day freight management of shipments and/or assigned shipping accounts, while delivering cost effective solutions that keep the long-term interest of the customer as our priority. It is essential for the SCC to work well individually and in a team environment; effectively solicit carriers to haul shipments, establishcarrier & customer relationships, andsolicitcustomers for transportation opportunities. This position also plays acritical role in providing quality service to customers,encouragingteam morale and performance, while maintaining a positive culture within the branch. The Supply Chain Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day operational development and execution of the Intermodal and Truckload logistics portion of the Watco Supply Chain Services portfolio.This position has broad responsibilities including operational execution, sales, customer development, RFP (Request for Pricing form - Proposal), RFI (Requestion for Information), customer spot pricing, carrier price negotiation, carrier development, and other duties as assigned to support branch growth.
Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment with extensive team member and supplier contact with frequent interruptions. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
Must be 18 years of age or older with High School or GED equivalent
Associate’s degree in related field preferred
