Job summary

Watco is seeking a Transportation Coordinator to oversee daily freight management, carrier negotiations, and service delivery across shipments and accounts. You will balance cost, timing, and reliability while maintaining strong customer relationships and branch performance.

You will collaborate with carriers and internal teams to optimize routes, ensure compliance, and drive profitability. Prior experience in transportation or logistics, plus proficiency in MS Office, is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in transportation or supply chain is preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
• Proficient in basic computer tasks and data entry.
• Ability to work independently and in a team to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Broker transportation shipments and secure carrier capacity.
• Trace and trace customer shipments.
• Provide customer support to meet needs and address issues.
• Conduct spot pricing and rate negotiations to meet margin requirements and profitability.
• Manage carrier base procurement, rate negotiations, and daily execution.
• Meet customer compliance requirements including service levels and lanes.
