Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; experience may substitute for formal education.
• Prior intermodal operations experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong data gathering and reporting, decision making and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with employees, drivers, rail carriers and vendors to prevent problems and provide service.
• Develop strong working relationships with customers and vendors.
• Ensure shipments are correctly rated and payables posted.
• Maintain rail schedules, costs, and accessorials.
• Maintain vendor profile information.
• Manage customer trailer pools and equipment movement to avoid storage or detention costs.
• Monitor freight activity and resolve issues to ensure on-time service.
• Provide customer service including reporting or customer website compliance.
• Secure and execute dray capacity for unplanned/planned moves.
• Collaborate with ArcBest Sales and Carrier Sales reps to secure shipments.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
