Job summary

ArcBest is seeking a Carrier Sales Representative in Fort Smith, AR to develop, maintain, and grow relationships between carriers and ArcBest. You will prospect carriers via calls and onboard quality carriers to ensure we meet customers' shipping requirements.

The role spans sales, operations, and account management, with extensive training on our technology, the transportation industry, and building carrier portfolios. This is a fast-paced, growth-oriented position on a growing team.

Responsibilities

• Prospect new carriers through lead generation, research, and cold calling.
• Build strong relationships with trucking company dispatchers and drivers.
• Obtain new business, negotiate, and strategically align your portfolio of carriers with our customers' freight.
• Proactively identify issues and resolve problems to uphold our commitment to service.
• Ensure shipment details are accurately communicated to drivers and tracked in our transportation management system.
• Collaborate cross functionally with customer operations, account management, and customer sales.
• Other duties and projects, as assigned.
