Job summary

Uber Freight is seeking an Intermodal Equipment Manager to lead strategic and operational efforts within the intermodal network. You will work closely with operations, railroad partners, and vendors to meet customer capacity commitments while managing risk and maximizing efficiency.

Qualifications

• Prior Intermodal Experience within capacity solutions, operations, or related experience.
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and/or Google Sheets for analysis.

Responsibilities

• Drive strategy for how the team collaborates with staff and vendors to secure intermodal capacity.
• Serve as main escalation point with railroad partners when capacity demands are not met.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of intermodal capacity and macro market trends.
• Outline expectations and support the team in understanding capacity commitments to customers.
• Coach and mentor the team on capacity, equipment, and network optimization best practices.
• Develop railroad relationships to enrich partnerships and monitor vendor costs.
