Job summary

Uber Freight is seeking an Account Manager II for its Intermodal division. You will be the first line of contact, ensuring freight is serviced to meet customer standards and communicating needs to operations. You will develop and maintain customer and carrier relationships while achieving key metrics.

The role is Full Time and Hybrid in the U.S., with responsibilities including load status tracking, rate maintenance, AR activities, and billing readiness.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of intermodal shipments experience.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in transportation/logistics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contact intermodal carriers to obtain load status and update systems, notifying shipper/receiver and rescheduling when needed.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with intermodal clients, carriers, shippers and receivers through professional communications.
• Correspond with customer and carrier regarding accessorial information.
• Maintain current customer rates in the Transportation Management System.
• Manage accounts receivable within guidelines and handle day-to-day tracking and communications.
• Confirm billing information is accurate and ready for invoicing.

About The Role

The Account Manager II is responsible for providing a best-in-class customer experience specific to our intermodal division, serving as the first line of contact for our customers. They are responsible for ensuring that all intermodal freight is serviced to meet or exceed the customer’s standards, while also communicating customer needs and changes to the operations teams. They are expected to develop and maintain customer and carrier relationships, while achieving company-defined operational metrics.

What The Candidate Will Do

• Contact intermodal carrier to obtain status of load tendered; continue monitoring the shipment status and updating in the system, then notifying the shipper and/or receiver and rescheduling when necessary.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with intermodal clients, carriers, shippers and receivers through professional and timely communications and inquiry responses.
• Correspond with customer and carrier regarding any accessorial information.
• Maintain current customer rates in the Transportation Management System.
• Manage accounts receivable within specified guidelines and handle day-to-day activities such as tracking, tracing and communications.
• Responsible for confirming billing information is accurate and ready for invoicing.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of related experience working with intermodal shipments.
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Transportation/Logistics experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Tools.
• Prior 3PL experience.

Illinois Salary Range

The target salary for the position is between $47,000–$60,000 base salary.
