TRAFFIX is seeking an Intermodal Account Manager to join our intermodal brokerage team in the United States. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning the full shipment lifecycle, from carrier management and pricing strategy to customer execution and problem-solving.

The position entails managing 50+ intermodal shipments weekly, coordinating rail movements, container management, drayage, exception resolution, and rate negotiations to secure cost-effective capacity while maintaining

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in intermodal brokerage within a 3PL/4PL.
• Strong experience with Domestic IMC and quick response times.
• Ability to build strong professional relationships with employees, carriers, and customers.
• Knowledge of North American trucking regulations and geography.
• Experience with problem-solving and proactive communication.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
• Experience with TMW is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Manage 50+ intermodal shipments weekly from tender through final delivery and invoicing.
• Coordinate the full intermodal lifecycle including rail movements, container management, drayage, and exception resolution.
• Analyze market conditions and execute spot pricing and rate negotiations.
• Source and dispatch drayage carriers while meeting service and cost targets and monitor shipments in the TMS.
• Resolve delays and escalations and partner with Sales to drive customer success.
• Own full cycle of orders within designated book of business.
• Provide quotes on adhoc and spot basis.
• Assist in setup and maintenance of customer SOPs.
• Ensure dray tendering and rail billing.
• Support Intermodal team with tracking from pickup to delivery and communicate updates to customers.
• Ensure customer-specific pickup and delivery KPIs are met.
• Perform other duties as directed by management.
