Job summary

Traffix is seeking an Intermodal Account Manager to own the full shipment lifecycle for an expanding intermodal brokerage team. This role involves carrier management, pricing strategy, customer execution, and proactive problem-solving to ensure service levels.

You will handle 50+ weekly intermodal shipments, coordinate rail movements and drayage, and negotiate rates to secure cost-efficient capacity while maintaining performance. Strong client relationships and regulatory knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in intermodal brokerage in a 3PL/4PL.
• Strong experience with Domestic IMC and a focus on quick response times.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees, carriers, and customers.
• Knowledge of North American trucking regulations and geography.
• Experience with proactive problem-solving and relationship-building.

Responsibilities

• Manage 50+ intermodal shipments weekly from tender through final delivery and invoicing.
• Coordinate full intermodal lifecycle including rail moves, container management, drayage, and exceptions.
• Analyze market conditions and execute spot pricing and rate negotiations.
• Source and dispatch drayage carriers while maintaining service and cost targets.
• Resolve delays, detention, and escalation with Sales to drive customer success.
