Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Brandywine (Oscar Lasko YMCA, West Chester, PA) is seeking a part-time youth program facilitator. You will plan, organize and deliver skill development programs, supervise activities, and maintain a safe, engaging environment for participants.

You’ll work with a team to promote program participation, ensure children are picked up by guardians, and enforce YMCA policies while providing enthusiastic leadership and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Ability to develop and teach skills.
• At least 1 year of experience in the program area.
• Ability to effectively use technology for programmatic needs.
• Obtain and maintain all new hire certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists with specific activities, routines and/or games for all participants.
• Leads with enthusiasm and positive motivation in program.
• Manage all equipment to ensure safety.
• Maintains a clean and risk-free environment.
• Ensures all children are picked up by a parent.
• Promotes other YMCA programs by handing out brochures, answering questions, or referral to appropriate person.
• Ensures compliance with all YGBW policies and standard operating procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
