Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Brandywine is seeking a part-time program staff member at Jennersville YMCA in West Grove, PA. You will plan, organize, and lead activities for participants, maintaining records and equipment while promoting YMCA programs and ensuring safety.

Requires at least 2 years teaching art and 3 years related experience, plus a high school diploma or GED. Training and certifications must be completed within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

  • 18 years of age with high school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in relevant field or medium, including ability to demonstrate.
  • Minimum of 2 years teaching art classes.
  • Training, experience, or qualifications in the specialized instruction area.
  • Ability to effectively use technology for programmatic needs.
  • Obtain and maintain all new hires certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes and leads specified activities for all participants.
  • Leads with enthusiasm and positive motivation in program.
  • Organizes and maintains program records including, but not limited to: attendance records, rosters, any replacement materials required, etc.
  • Manages all tools, materials, and equipment.
  • Maintains a clean and risk-free studio or classroom for instruction, and leaves it clean and ready for the next class.
  • Communicates effectively and in a timely manner with program participants and parents.
  • Ensures all children are picked up by an authorized parent or guardian.
  • Promotes other YMCA programs by handing out brochures, answering questions, or referral to appropriate person.
  • Ensures compliance with all YGBW policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
