Job summary

Kodiak Gas Services is seeking an Intermediate Field Service Technician to operate compressor packages, perform preventive maintenance, and support gas processes and rental equipment. The role requires intermediate diagnostic and repair skills and the ability to backfill other field positions as needed.

Responsibilities include directing activities per Kodiak procedures, building customer relationships, ensuring high equipment availability, and providing 24/7 coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Kodiak’s SSE program preferred.
• 3+ years compression process, production, and equipment experience or training.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Directs, coordinates, and performs job activities per Kodiak procedures, goals, and objectives.
• Troubleshoot complex repairs and major equipment overhauls and operation.
• Build and maintain customer relationships.
• Analyze job parts and supply inventory to communicate with Supply Chain for adequate parts.
• Ensure 98%+ mechanical availability of equipment.
• Attend and adhere to HSE meetings and protocols.
• Maintain units in clean, presentable condition.
• Complete proper reports and actions per area procedures/policies.
• Provide 24/7 coverage and participate in on-call rotations (including nights, weekends, holidays).
• Additional tasks as assigned.
