Job summary

Indiana University Libraries in Bloomington is seeking a team member for the Document Delivery Services Unit to manage interlibrary loan and document delivery for students, faculty, and researchers on campus and remotely.

The role handles verification, requests to external providers, and daily supervision of student assistants, ensuring timely processing and accurate records in a fast-paced library environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (HSED or GED).
• Some experience in library or related field.
• Interlibrary loan borrowing experience with OCLC and ILLiad software.
• Supervisory experience, including hiring, scheduling, training, and evaluating.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient interlibrary loan/document delivery services to IU students, faculty, staff, and researchers on the Bloomington campus and those living away from campus.
• Verify requests and arrange materials not held locally; notify users of status or problems.
• Process and notify requestors of documents received; supervise student assistants.
• Handle and monitor library materials; assist patrons with issues and escalate when needed.
• Monitor library systems and maintain records; may oversee desk and train student employees.
