Job summary

The University of Houston Libraries seeks a Resource Sharing Specialist to coordinate interlibrary loan and document delivery operations. You will process requests, assist UH patrons and partner libraries, and ensure accessibility compliance for content provided via Resource Sharing services.

You will apply diverse search techniques across databases, train student workers, and help maintain documentation. Strong customer service, communication, and a proactive approach to workflow improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience with customer service preferred.
• Experience in interlibrary loan and document delivery services.
• Experience using library systems such as Ex Libris Alma.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Process interlibrary loan and document delivery requests for UH patrons and partner libraries.
• Apply search techniques across databases to resolve complex requests.
• Serve as the primary contact for Resource Sharing unit and patrons.
• Maintain documentation and identify workflow improvements.
• Ensure accessibility compliance for content provided via Resource Sharing services.
• Train student workers in accessibility remediation tasks.
