Job summary

Rivian, a California-based electric vehicle maker, seeks an experienced interior trim engineer to shape Class A plastic trims from concept to production. You will work with studio designers and cross-functional teams to ensure performance, cost, and timing targets are met.

Responsibilities include CAD development in Catia V6, 2D drawings, BOM management in Enovia, and DFMEAs with partners. Travel domestically and internationally may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).
• At least 2 years in automotive Class A injection/compression/wrapping development.
• Experience with Catia V5/V6, Sketcher, GSD, and part workbenches.
• Knowledge of injection molding, thermal forming, 3D printing, wrapping.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Class A plastic trims for Rivian interiors from concept through production.
• Use Catia V6/3D Experience to create high-quality 3D data and sketches.
• Develop 2D drawings in Catia V6 and maintain CAD data.
• Collaborate with studio designers to align with design themes.
• Design and manage engineering BOMs; perform changes in Enovia.
• Develop DFMEAs with cross-functional partners and track dependencies.
