Ethan Allen Global, Inc. is seeking a Design Consultant to work with customers in the design center, remotely, or in-home to craft individualized design solutions that drive product sales.

You will handle space planning, fabric coordination, and presentation using digital tools, while meeting sales benchmarks and participating in marketing initiatives. The role emphasizes customer service, brand representation, and the use of social media to grow the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a design field with at least 1 year of interior design experience.
• Broad knowledge of interior design and effective sales techniques.
• Working knowledge of online sales and design tools.
• Good listening skills with excellent oral and written communication.
• General understanding of social media and grassroots marketing to develop a book of business.

Responsibilities

• Create design solutions that are consistent with the customer's preference and budget.
• Sell Ethan Allen's products and services.
• Represent the Ethan Allen brand in all customer interactions and schedule appointments and in-home consultations.
• Utilize social media to develop and grow the business.
• Educate customers about the complimentary design service offered.
• Stay current on design and color trends.
• Coordinate with the team to provide exceptional service and keep customers informed of order status.
• Participate in corporate marketing and training programs.
• Educate customers on financing options.
• Contribute to design center portfolio upkeep.
• Utilize technology to design projects, presentations, and customer service.
• Enter orders using the retail POS system.
• Maintain a neat and orderly design center.
• Develop business and grass roots marketing plans and monitor effectiveness.
• Use social networks to expand market presence.
• Perform other duties as required.
