Job summary

Ethan Allen Global, Inc. is seeking a Design Consultant to create individualized design solutions, sell premium home furnishings, and greet customers in the design center.

You will use 3D planning tools and CRM to present designs, educate clients on complimentary design services, and drive sales through in-person and online channels. The role emphasizes relationship-based selling, knowledge of design trends, and proactive outreach via social media and grassroots marketing to expand the customer

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant work experience.
• Minimum of one (1) year of practical interior design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a design-related field from an accredited institution, desirable.
• Broad knowledge of interior design and effective sales techniques.
• Working knowledge of online sales and design tools.
• Good listening skills with excellent oral and written communication skills also required.
• General understanding of social media and grassroots marketing to develop a book of business.
• Valid driver's license, with occasional travel to client sites.
• Intermediate skill with digital floor planning technology; 3D applications a plus.
• Experience using AR/VR visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Create design solutions that align with customer preferences and budget.
• Sell Ethan Allen's products and services.
• Represent the Ethan Allen brand in customer interactions and conduct appointments and in-home consultations.
• Utilize grassroots marketing and social media to grow the business.
• Educate customers about complimentary design service and determine scope of service.
• Stay current on design trends to create fashionable solutions.
• Coordinate with the team to provide service before and after sale, updating order status.
• Participate in corporate marketing and training programs.
• Educate customers on sponsored finance options.
• Contribute to development and upkeep of the design center's portfolio.
• Utilize CRM and other technology to design projects, create presentations, and serve clients.
• Enter orders using the retail POS system.
