Job summary

Ethan Allen seeks Design Consultants to create individualized design solutions for customers in our design centers, online, or in-home. You will handle space planning, fabric coordination, and product selection to close sales through relationship-based selling.

The role emphasizes teamwork, customer service, and marketing via social media. The compensation is incentive-based, with draw and potential for significant earnings based on performance and sales benchmarks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant work experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of practical interior design experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a design-related field desired.
• Broad knowledge of interior design and effective sales techniques.
• Working knowledge of online sales and design tools.
• Good listening and communication skills.
• Ability to use social media and grass-roots marketing to develop a book of business.
• Valid driver’s license; alternate transport acceptable in some cases.
• Proficiency with 3-D planning tools; 3-D AR/VR visualization is a plus.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Create design solutions that match customer preferences and budget.
• Sell Ethan Allen products and services.
• Represent the Ethan Allen brand in all customer interactions and arrange appointments and in-home consultations.
• Utilize social media to develop and grow the business.
• Educate customers on available complimentary design service and options.
• Stay current on design trends to create fashionable solutions.
• Coordinate with the team to provide excellent service before and after the sale.
