Job summary

Havertys Furniture in Frisco, TX is seeking an Interior Design Consultant to work with customers and sales teams to craft rooms and spaces. You will offer in-home, in-store, and virtual consultations, create floor plans, and renderings, and help close sales with your design expertise.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in interior design or related field (ASID preferred) and a valid driver’s license. A generous benefits package and uncapped commissions accompany a schedule including evenings

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in interior design or 2–4 years related experience; ASID certification preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and provide transportation to in-home appointments.
• Experience with Microsoft Office; Room Planner software is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers and sales consultants to create beautiful rooms and spaces while recommending furniture and accessories to give customers a completed, designed look.
• Offer in-home, in-store, and virtual consultations to understand customers’ needs, style, investment, and space(s).
• Create floor plans and photo-realistic renderings of Havertys furniture and accessories placed in the customer’s home.
• Assist Sales Consultants in closing transactions by providing design knowledge to Havertys customers.
• Coordinate with the customer during the home visit and the final presentation to review items selected, pricing, and delivery schedules.
• Provide feedback to Sales Consultant and Branch Manager after each house visit and upon completion of the floorplan and presentation board.
• Assist Sales Consultant with creating special-order SKUs and increasing sales reserves.
