Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Nursing Leadership role in Baltimore at Ascension St. Agnes Hospital.

This interim leadership position oversees staffing and clinical operations on the Premier Staffing – Interim Leadership team, ensuring high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance across a key department. The role requires strong leadership, budgeting and strategic planning skills, with a track record in surgical or critical care settings and a commitment to professional development and team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or diploma from an accredited nursing program required.
• Master's degree or combination of Bachelor's degree and experience preferred.
• 5 years of experience required and 2 years of leadership/management experience required.
• 10 years of experience preferred and 5 years of leadership/management experience preferred.
• Certification: BLS within 30 days of hire; compact RN license or state RN license for travel location.

• Schedule: Day Shift | 40 hours per week

Gross Rate up to $5,449.01 per week

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Develops departmental goals and objectives consistent with medical, administrative, legal and ethical requirements of the health care delivery system.
• Directs clinical activities, including patient assessment, care plan development, service level determination, patient visits, and complaint management.
• Prepares and monitors budget(s) and ensures that assigned nursing area operates within allocated funds. Coordinates and directs internal and externally-driven audits.
• Plans, organizes and directs all activities related to staffing, including hiring, orienting, evaluating and continuing education initiatives.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s): Certified BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Certified Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Must have compact RN license or state RN license relevant to travel assignment location prior to start of assignment.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. Master's degree or combination of Bachelor's degree and experience preferred.

Work Experience

• 5 years of experience required and 2 years of leadership or management experience required.
• 10 years of experience preferred and 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
