Job summary

Five Below is seeking an energetic Store Manager on Duty in Spartanburg to oversee daily store operations, lead staff, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will manage opening/closing, cash handling, and ensure policies are followed while maintaining a welcoming environment.

The role requires at least 1 year of management experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• College experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all crew members are Wowing the Customer through personal contact with customers.
• Trains the crew on the BEST customer service experience; ensuring a fast, friendly checkout experience.
• Oversees daily activities of store associates and ensures they perform duties with excellent customer service.
• Assists with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock for fast placement on sales floor.
• Acts as Manager on Duty, responsible for store operations, staff management, and customer service.
• Occasionally manages opening/closing of the store, including cash handling and alarm setup.
• Supports onboarding and ongoing training of associates.
• Drives store sales and controls expenses through merchandising, staff performance, and service.
• Partners with store leadership in merchandising procedures and World Recovery.
• Performs store maintenance tasks (cleaning, stocking, etc.).
