Job summary

Confidential Jobs seeks an experienced Interim Manager, Accounting to provide hands-on accounting oversight for real estate investments and related entities within the Fund & Asset Finance organization.

The role emphasizes real estate accounting, fund/investment accounting, and asset management experience, with preference for Yardi Investment Accounting / Investment Management proficiency. Onsite work three days per week in Phoenix is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in real estate investment management or asset management accounting.
• Strong fund/investment accounting experience required.
• Hands-on real estate and asset-level accounting experience.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week onsite three days a week in Phoenix.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting and financial reporting for real estate investments, funds, and related entities.
• Oversee investment- and asset-level accounting, including general ledger activity, reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement preparation.
• Support monthly and quarterly close processes and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Manage accounting related to investment-level debt, property taxes, insurance payables, and operating and non-operating accruals.
• Support lender reporting and loan covenant calculations.
• Assist with acquisition and disposition accounting, including establishing accounting structures for newly acquired investments.
• Partner with asset management, finance, and other internal stakeholders to resolve accounting and reporting matters.
• Support fair-value and other investment accounting requirements.
• Maintain appropriate accounting controls and identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting.
