Job summary

New Leaf Energy, Inc. in Chicago seeks an Interconnection Project Manager (DG) to coordinate interconnection efforts across engineering, finance, accounting, and operations, ensuring timely feedback interpretation and risk communication to the development team.

You will manage stakeholder relationships, lead utility meetings, and own the full interconnection lifecycle from submittals to agreements, with a hybrid schedule and internal candidate focus.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience with preference for energy and direct electric utility experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering, Policy, Finance, Business, Environmental Science, Project Management preferred).
• Strong project management, reporting, and technical skills (Salesforce and Smartsheet/Microsoft Project).
• Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to build, experiment, and iterate when path forward is undefined.

Responsibilities

• Represent New Leaf as the primary point of contact for all utility communications.
• Lead interconnection interactions and meetings, including conflict resolutions.
• Lead interconnection due diligence and research for new market entry and process implementation.
• Create and maintain project management infrastructure, trackers, reports, and tools to support development strategy.
• Own the interconnection lifecycle: interpret requirements, communicate risks, and monitor performance.
