Job summary

Blue Kite Wellness is seeking an Intensive Home-Based Clinician I to provide field-based clinical services to children, youth, and families in Pontiac, IL and surrounding areas. The role emphasizes family-centered, strengths-based interventions in clients’ homes and communities, with telehealth where permitted.

The clinician will develop individualized treatment plans, collaborate with caregivers and schools, and supervise IHBS staff as they gain proficiency in the IHBC model.

Qualifications

• Meets current Illinois QMHP or LPHA qualifications and licensure requirements.
• Master’s degree in a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution.
• Entry-level to early-career clinical experience welcome with QMHP/LPHA qualifications.
• Foundational knowledge of assessment, treatment planning, engagement, crisis prevention, de-escalation, documentation, and care coordination.
• Ability to build relationships with children, youth, caregivers, and multidisciplinary professionals.
• Ability to accept supervision and feedback.
• Ability to work independently in home/community settings with team support.
• Professional judgment, boundaries, and respectful communication.
• Maintain confidential documentation and comply with training timelines.
• Willingness to complete all required Blue Kite Wellness and Illinois Pathways training.
• Reliable transportation with current driver’s license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide Intensive Home-Based Clinical services to children, youth, and families in the Illinois Pathways to Success program.
• Develop and update individualized clinical interventions using IM+CANS and other assessments.
• Deliver individual, family, and caregiver interventions to reduce symptoms and improve family functioning.
• Strengthen caregiver communication, problem-solving, and emotional-regulation skills.
• Apply MAP and other approved approaches within training scope.
• Provide clinical direction to IHBS staff with supervision.
• Collaborate with caregivers, coordinators, schools, and other providers.
• Support crisis prevention, safety planning, and post-crisis follow-up.
• Monitor progress and adjust interventions with supervisor input.
• Complete timely clinical documentation and participate in supervision and training.
