Job summary

The Buckeye Ranch is seeking an Intensive Family Support Counselor/Social Worker to join our Intensive Family Support team in Columbus. The Home-Based Counselor provides therapy and support for youth and families facing behavioral and delinquency challenges.

Schedule is full-time, Monday to Friday, 10am–6pm, with evening sessions as needed. Compensation varies by license, education, and experience, with ranges from mid $40k to $70k depending on licensure and degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field required.
• Active LPC, LSW, or MFT licensure or eligible.
• Driver’s license and proof of auto insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients for appropriate level of care, including behavioral indicators and environmental impacts.
• Identify trauma history and risk factors influencing the presenting problem and family dynamics.
• Identify cultural factors and strengths of client and family for treatment planning.
• Complete comprehensive diagnostic assessments with admissions and engagement.
• Develop and implement family-focused training plans and coaching.

Skills
