Job summary

Maxim Healthcare in Azusa, CA is hiring an Intensive Behavioral Support Provider to work with children and/or adults with developmental delays and challenging behaviors. Hourly pay ranges from $26 to $29 per hour.

Responsibilities include one-to-one behavior intervention, assisting with daily activities, self-help, communication, social and cognitive tasks, data collection, and crisis intervention as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: experience in educational or healthcare setting.
• At least 1 year experience with individuals with special needs displaying challenging or aggressive behaviors.
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral sciences or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one behavior intervention services.
• Assist with daily program activities in self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor and behavioral areas; crisis intervention.
• Assist with personal care tasks including bathing, oral hygiene, meals, dressing, grooming and mobility.
• Implement and collect data on behaviors and goals per Behavior Support Plan.
