Job summary

Greeley-Evans School District 6 seeks a Special Education Assistant – Intensive Autism to support students with significant needs at Heath Middle School. The role involves assisting with instruction, personal care, data collection, and classroom activities to promote growth.

Requires AA degree or 48 semester hours or WorkKeys scores; CPI/CPR training preferred. 182-day contract with comprehensive benefits and sick/vacation leave.

Qualifications

• AA degree or 48 semester hours or passing scores on WorkKeys exam.
• CPR/First Aid training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the academic programming and progress of individual students and/or small groups.
• Provide student-specific personal care and support.
• Assist with daily classroom activities, data collection, sanitizing equipment and materials, and support staff as needed.
• Sit for long periods and manage distractions; maintain visual, auditory, and ambulatory acuity.
• Move quickly between stations to respond to student needs; lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
