Job summary

Greeley-Evans School District 6 seeks a Special Education Assistant for Prairie Heights Middle School to support students with significant needs. You will assist with daily classroom activities and data collection, providing personal care and small-group instruction under the building principal and department director.

Required AA degree or 48 semester hours or WorkKeys; CPI training and CPR/First Aid preferred.

Qualifications

• AA degree or 48 semester hours or passing scores on WorkKeys exam.
• CPR/First Aid training preferred.
• CPI training provided; CPI training may be required.

Responsibilities

• Support the academic programming and progress of individual students or small groups with identified significant needs.
• Provide student specific personal care and support.
• Assist with daily classroom activities, data collection, sanitizing equipment and materials, and supporting staff.
• Sit for long periods, manage distractions, and assist in moving between positions to meet student needs.
