Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a highly experienced CADD/BIM professional to coordinate intelligent models for transit and multimodal projects. You will manage cross‑discipline deliverables, perform clash detection, and uphold BIM standards across offices, driving project quality and efficiency.

Role requires extensive experience with Autodesk tools (Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks) and Bentley platforms, plus mentoring junior staff and ensuring interoperability across platforms and agencies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational technical training in basic CADD drafting technology and intelligent modeling.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required; travel up to 10% may be expected.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate intelligent models across architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP into a single federated, clash-checked model.
• Run clash detection in Navisworks and lead resolution across disciplines.
• Establish and enforce CADD/BIM standards and workflows in Autodesk and Bentley environments.
• Mentor and guide production staff across offices to build institutional capability.
• Ensure model integrity, health, and interoperability across Autodesk tools and Bentley where required.
• Support design teams with coordination between disciplines and compliance with Q/C standards.
