Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intelligent Modeling Coordinator to lead cross-discipline coordination on transit and multimodal projects. You will integrate intelligent models across architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP, ensuring a federated, clash-checked model throughout the project lifecycle.

You will enforce BIM/CADD standards, mentor staff, and collaborate with clients and subconsultants.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational training in CADD or intelligent modeling.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination across architecture, structural, transportation, roadway, and MEP for federated models.
• Run clash detection in Navisworks and coordinate resolutions.
• Establish and enforce CADD/BIM standards and workflows across offices.
• Mentor production staff and provide design sketches for finished drawings.
• Verify model integrity and manage versioning and interoperability across Autodesk tools.
• Review manufacturers' or fabricators' prints to aid design documents.
• Perform basic to complex design computations and develop design criteria.
